Family activities

Salou is the perfect destination for a family holiday, it has the Catalan Family Tourism Destination stamp and offers a wide range of family activities in which fun and safety for children and adults are assured.

The capital of the Costa Dorada offers a wide range of family activities. We would highlight the Port Aventura World and Aquopolis Costa Dorada theme parks as essential visits, but other visits are also strongly recommended: Bosc Aventura, a multi-adventure park in the heart of nature. If you want to enjoy the sea, there are several companies that offer boat trips, snorkelling, stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking activities. Salou also offers activities such as go-kart circuits, magic shows and escape rooms.

Port Aventura

Port Aventura World is a complex of three theme parks and is a must do on family holidays to Salou. It is located very close to Hoteles California and Apartamentos California and you can buy the tickets at reception.

Enjoy a fun-filled day at: Port Aventura Park, a park with six worlds to discover and a total of 43 attractions, shows, restaurants and shops. Ferrari Land, a theme park dedicated exclusively to Ferrari with rides, games, shops, shows and much more! Finally, Caribe Aquatic Park, open during the summer months, is a water park with a multitude of pools and slides where fun is more than guaranteed. Who's up to it?

Beaches and coves

Salou has 9 beaches and coves that we recommend you visit during your stay. The Ponent and Llevant beaches are the closest to Hoteles California. The Ponent beach has fine golden sand and is shallow, making it ideal for families. The Llevant Beach, next to the Ponent, is the one that offers more services and facilities, such as a children's area, inflatable park, sports and sailing area.

The Salou coastal path is a good way to discover the other 7 beaches and coves: Playa Capellans, Cala Llenguadets, Playa Llarga, Cala Penya Tallada, Cala Font, Cala Vinya and Cala Crancs.

Culture and places of interest

The municipality of Salou, with an area of 15.1 km², offers a large number of places and points of interest that you mustn’t miss. So take note! We recommend you visit the Bonet Villa, the Salou Lighthouse, the Cala Morisca Viewpoint, the Church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Torre Vella and the Parc de la Ciutat.

And, as a must, take a walk along the Jaume I Promenade where you will find the lit-up fountain and the cybernetic fountain that offer a wonderful show of lights, water and colours.
